Hi, I would like to know what you ladies use to attach head to body. I am almost finished my head & would like to bake it and then attach to body when that is done. Or is it preferable to sculpt head & body all in one and then bake full baby in oven. It should be approx 16" when finished?

I think you'll probably find most sculptors bake the head onto the body rather than gluing it when sculpting a full body doll. However depending on what clay you are using you can often bake in stages, so you may be able to bake your head (at least partially to keep the detail and prevent it getting squished during the next stage).

Obviously that's just her method and other sculptors will have their own ways of working but it gives you an idea of what's possible. I've only really done mini full sculpts and I just did those all in one go before baking and it's been a while since I've done any sculpting unfortunately.

Try using epoxy to "glue" . It works good.
