Painting Tip I got from Kris C

Post by Maisa_BabyLuvAlways »

Hello everyone!

Kristie Carwithen of The Dainty Loft has painted the prototype of the boy version of my Kallie FBS kit. His auction is live now at https://www.thedaintyloftauction.com/co ... ty-loft_61

She kindly gave me permission to share a tip on painting Kellan’s umbilical cord stump (which is an optional feature in this kit). It’s so incredibly creative! In order to get the look of veins inside the cord, she dipped a piece of white yarn in blue wet silicone, then wiggled it with a needle through the cord from the bottom. She made sure that the thread stayed in the cord, to avoid creating a blue spot on the outside. Isn’t it genius!? :D

If you are interested in a blank kit, please message me. I have a sale going on this week till February 18. Otherwise, hope this is helpful!
